I am a Linux administrator with several years experience using, installing, maintaining, supporting and building Linux servers and desktops.
In the spirit of open source it's only fair to make my personal expertise public in the hope that they may be useful in future:)
Not all articles were written by me - but I have tried to credit people wherever possible.

The reason I call this blog "Linux for Cynics" is because some of the loudest Linux proponents tout the ideological advantages of GNU/Linux, free and open source software. That's fine. The ideology is fine. But I think it's better to first appeal to a person's selfish side and let them discover the warm, loving heart of FOSS on their own. Maybe they'll eventually see the practical advantages of the philosophy as well.
I believe that applies not only to the average computer user, but also to experienced programmers. Posts on this site will target people just starting with Linux as well as more advanced users.
